Malaria Prevention and Treatment Behavior in the Arfak Tribe in Mubri Wariori Village, Nuni District, Manokwari Regency

The purpose of the study was to find out the prevention and treatment behavior of malaria in the Arfak tribe. Types of qualitative research Phenomenological approaches. 14 informants were taken using the Purposive sampling technique. Data was collected by in-depth interviews. The data was analyzed thematically. The results of the study are that people believe that malaria is caused by eating too much, working too hard, environmental and weather influences and congenital diseases. Malaria treatment by drinking herbs and applying malaria leaves, drinking the leaves and roots of the fire bin Prevention of malaria is to drink plants, roots, and bark, and plant lemongrass. Choosing traditional practices is because it is believed to heal faster, cheaper, and affordable.
