Analysis of Demand and Supply of School Bus Services in Singaraja City (Case Study: SMPN 1, SMPN 2, SMPN 3, and SMPN 6 Singaraja)

This study analyzes the demand, supply, user characteristics, fleet requirements, and operating costs of school bus services in Singaraja City, where traffic congestion and accident risks are increasing due to high motorcycle use. Using surveys, interviews, and secondary data, the findings show that 80.93% of students are willing to use school buses, with a potential of 832 users requiring at least 26 buses. SWOT analysis highlights government support and student interest as strengths, while limited fleets and routes are weaknesses. The annual operating cost per bus is Rp103,059,125. The study concludes that school bus services have strong development potential if supported by route and fleet expansion as well as sustainable financing.
