Abstract

This study aims to examine the semiotics of trauma signs in the film Bolehkah Sekali Saja Kumenangis by Reka Wijaya. The research method used is to use qualitative data with primary data in the form of sentences resulting from dialogue between characters that reflect the elements of anxiety and trauma from the film script and secondary data obtained through articles related to trauma. The data collection and analysis technique of this study uses content analysis through five Rolan Barthes semiotic codes. The result of this research is that this film is able to combine cinematography and narrative that is able to represent the signs of trauma through symbols and the five semiotic codes of Barhes so that it is able to convey a moral message about the importance of a sense of security for the recognition and healing of inner wounds.
