Abstract

This study analyzes the role of stakeholder involvement in mining governance and its impact on social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Using a mixed methods approach—combining a quantitative survey of 150 respondents with qualitative interviews and focus group discussions involving 25 key informants from government, industry, and civil society—the research examines how participation levels influence governance quality. The findings indicate that higher stakeholder participation enhances policy legitimacy, implementation effectiveness, and the balance between economic and environmental objectives. The study concludes that stakeholder-based decision-making strengthens collaborative governance theory and provides practical insights for developing adaptive and sustainable mining policies at local and national levels.
